Child Care Benefit

Our Pre-Primary School is a Registered Provider for the purposes of the Child Care Benefit Scheme.  This means that you are able to claim a minimum rebate of the fees you pay us through Family and Community Services (FACS), provided that you are eligible.  The eligibility requirements are as follows:

“Both the CCB recipient and their partner (if they have one) must meet one of the following requirements to claim up to 50 hours of CCB a week:

  • Working (including paid full-time, part-time or casual work, self-employment, paid leave, unpaid sick leave, paid or unpaid maternity leave or setting up a business)

  • Actively looking for paid work (including being in receipt of Newstart or Youth Allowance)

  • Studying or training (including voluntary or unpaid work to improve your skills)

  • Caring for a child or adult with a disability

  • Have a partner who is in gaol or living outside Australia.”

Please note: if you are talking to FACS about this, please ensure that they understand we are a Registered Centre.

In order to claim these benefits please let Anne know in the office and she will issue you with a specific receipt at the end of the term.  That receipt needs to be taken to the FAO at Centrelink or Medicare and payment will be made directly to your bank account.

Together providing each child with Montessori education in harmony with life.
