Travel Raffle

It's time for the school's annual fundraiser - the Travel Raffle.  This is an opportunity for the school to raise much needed funds to supplement the building fund to cover capital improvements.  In the past, proceeds from ticket sales have gone towards upgrades to both children's playgrounds, improved disable access at Stepping Stones, renovations of the multi- purpose room and 9-12 toilets.

Each family will be assigned sixty $5 tickets which you can onsell to the public or if you prefer,  you can keep the tickets yourself and have 1 in 150 chance of winning the first prize.

You don't have to sell your tickets unless you want to.

The raffle is a major way of fundraising for the school and it encourages all families to make an equal contribution.  It’s supposed to be fun.  And we’ve streamlined things so it’s easy. 

Where are my tickets?

Each family has been allocated 60 $5 tickets.  You’ll notice this cost was added to your Term 3 school invoice. 

The tickets can be picked up from the Northside Office after July 22, 2008 if you want to sell them.  Otherwise, leave them there and they will be automatically entered into the draw.

Where can I sell the tickets?

Try your extended family, sports club, your music group or your street.

Where does the money from sold tickets go?

You will pocket the money from each ticket sale. There is no need to return money to the office.

When are the stubs due?

If you sell your tickets to the public, return your stubs to the school office by Wednesday 10th September. All stubs, whether they are sold or not, must be returned.

Draw

The raffle draw will take place 18th September, 2008 at the Fathers' Day breakfast.  Results will be published in the Sydney Morning Herald shortly thereafter.

What are the prizes?

We thank all local merchants and parents for their generous donations.

Grand Prize

Family trip (2 Adults; 2 Children) including airfares and accommodation to the Gold Coast for 5 days.

Second Prize

Couples weekend getaway to Hobart including airfares, accommodation, breakfast and transfers.

Third Prize

One project in your home/office organised by Sandra Cox and Pippa Yeoman  of The Baobab Tree Professional- Organising-Solutions.

4) One handmade 925 Silver Bracelet by Pure D’Argent Jewellery compliments  of Sharon Yuen.

5) Dinner for two at Mezzo Matto, Turramurra.

Important dates

July 22, 2008 – Pick up tickets, if you want, from the Northside Office

September 10, 2008– Return all ticket stubs to the Northside Office

September 18, 2008 – Raffle draw at Father’s Day Breakfast.

Conditions

1.  Tickets must be booked at least 30 days before intended travel.  This is to secure best flight and accommodation rates.

2.  Packages are valid during school holidays.

3.  Once tickets are issued, they are not transferable.

4.  Once travel documents are issued, date changes may be possible but may be subject to conditions and fees.
